Current Status
The Alberta Teachers’ Association’s (ATA) Central Table Bargaining Committee (CTBC) is in negotiations with the Teachers’ Employer Bargaining Association (TEBA).

June 5 - 9, 2025Supervised strike vote scheduled to take place.

The ATA held a strike vote authorization vote May 22 to 26, 2025. Nearly 91% of all ATA members voted; 99.5% of those who voted are in favour of a strike vote. Source

A ratification vote recently took place May 2 - 5, 2025, resulting in the provincial ATA membership voting against the mediators recommendations. Source
